Memorial Day Weekend 2010

Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend 2010 on  May 29, downtown Myrtle Beach on Ocean Boulevard between 8th Avenue North and 9th Avenue North. Parking available throughout downtown area. From 9 a.m.-9 p.m., this free event features concerts and celebrity meet-and-greets.

9-10 a.m.
Free Col. Buzz Aldrin Recognition Ceremony
Downtown Myrtle Beach on Ocean Boulevard between 8th Avenue North and 9th Avenue North. Open to the public.

10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  
Memorial Day Parade starts at 27th Avenue North on Ocean Boulevard and heads south and ends at 9th Avenue North. Appearances by Grand Marshal Buzz Aldrin, plus high school marching bands, helium balloons, floats, walking groups, static displays and more. Will be the biggest and best parade yet in Myrtle Beach! Disney stars Savannah Outen of Radio Disney, Jasmine Richards of ”Camp Rock” and Tiffany Thornton of ”Sonny With a Chance” will be in the parade, as well as Marvel Characters Hulk and Iron Man and Milestone Characters Garfield, Classic Batman, Funshine Care Bear and Pink Panther
