Salute from the Shore
Military Flyover and Salute to America’s Armed Forces to take place on South Carolina Beaches this 4th of July
Salute from the Shore, a nonprofit, grassroots group, has coordinated a special opportunity to Salute America’s Armed Forces from the beaches this July 4th. At approximately 2 p.m., a C-17 from Charleston Air Force Base will fly less than 1,000 feet from the coast of Myrtle Beach. The flyover will begin near Myrtle Beach and proceed southward, flying along the entire South Carolina coast. Everyone is encouraged to participate by dressing in patriotic colors and saluting the flyover as they pass over our beaches. Spectators are encouraged to video or photo the event and e-mail your footage, pics and comments so Salute from the Shore can post them for our troops abroad to see.
