Leading Business of the Month – H.B. Springs Co. & KOA

For the first time since starting the award, two long-time members shared the honors of Leading Business of the Month.

H.B. Springs Company was first recognized at September’s Leading Business of the Month sponsored by South State Bank. H.B. Springs has provided insurance to families and businesses in Horry and Georgetown counties since 1928.

It is among the largest insurance agencies in Myrtle Beach today promising local, reliable and affordable coverage. Services offered include auto and home insurance, life, health and disability coverage, personal lines, business lines, annuities, employee benefits and storm preparation.

A storm is what brought about our second honoree.

For days, the Myrtle Beach area watched the track of Hurricane Irma with nervous anticipation. As the major hurricane shifted west and the Grand Strand breathed a sigh of relief the Myrtle Beach KOA Kampground offered refuge to evacuees.

The campsites at the KOA on Fifth Avenue South in Myrtle Beach, which include full hookups with water and sewer, were made available at no cost for two days to those temporarily displaced by Hurricane Irma.

For their generosity, which showcases the Southern hospitality lauded along the Grand Strand, Myrtle Beach KOA Kampground also is September’s Leading Business of the Month sponsored by South State Bank.

About Leading Business of the Month
The first Wednesday of every month, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce announces a Leading Business of the Month. This special promotion, sponsored by South State Bank, recognizes a company that has been a member of Myrtle Beach Area Chamber for a minimum of five years. The business is randomly selected. The company displays a banner at their place of business for one month recognizing them as the Leading Business of the Month.
